Who is ready to eat out every Monday to Wednesday? The governments’ Eat Out to Help Out scheme launches Monday 3rd August and we want to fill out in on everything you need to know about it.
You can use the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme to:
- Get a 50% discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner)
- Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August
- As many times as you like
- Groups of any sizes can use the discount.
As well as this, did you know do not need a voucher to use this scheme and you can use it at the same time as other offers and discounts and there is no minimum spend. However, you cannot claim a discount on alcoholic drinks or service charges.
The discount will be automatically available to you at participating establishments. Establishments will then claim a reimbursement from the government for the discount they’ve given you.
Where can I get 50% off?
You can use the Governments restaurant finder here to see which restaurants near you are participating in this scheme. You can enter your postcode and it will show you all the local businesses taking part.

Businesses can choose whether to sign up and can join the scheme at any point. They need to register online and will be able to claim the money back and have it refunded within five working days. To be eligible they must have a dining or drinking area and have been registered with their local authority since at least 7 July 2020. Businesses that have used the furlough scheme can apply.
With restaurants back open, things may be a little different when you visit. Have a look at what to expect when eating out after lockdown.
Remember to sign up for free if you work within the Care industry in any role and see where you can save on your next adventure, as well as hundreds more of discounts from the biggest brands.
