With the new year not getting off to the best of starts, we are trying to stay positive and maintain a healthy outlook.

Now more than ever, it is an important time to look after your well being and mental health. We’ve complied a list of some of the best podcasts and apps for improving mental health and to help you relax and unwind during difficult times. Whether this is listening to a podcast during a brisk 10-minute walk, or relaxing at the end of the evening with a meditation app.

Here are some of our podcast recommendations:

Fearne Cotton invites an array of guests including Russell Brand, Joe Wicks, Matt Haig and Dawn French for her podcast series about mental health. Happy Place is upbeat and positive and allows guest to talk about their mental health issues and the measures they put in place to help with their day-to-day struggles.

  1. Deliciously Ella 

While Ella’s usual content resolves around healthy eating and nutrition, her podcast series with her husband Matt delves into physical and mental health. She invites guest from the world of business to share their stories and offer advice.

  1. The Joe Wicks Podcast

Joe Wicks became the nation’s online P.E Teacher with his popular Youtube workouts when the UK and the rest of the world went into lockdown. His positive attitude along with detailing his own struggles with life are what make up this popular podcast series. Joe invites guest such as Gordan Ramsey, Tim Peake and Jamie Oliver to discuss how they maintain their mental and physical happiness.

As the title suggests, nothing much happens in this podcast which is the best part. The narrator tells a short, but cozy and calming bedtime story which is bound to put even the most restless people to sleep.
